Yuuki Kamakura arrives from Japan in the Y's Produce four-rotor RX-7, a car that sounds like nothing else on the grid, and a driver returning to Sydney with something to settle. Every run he makes is a bet that the rotary can still beat physics.

Feras Qartoumy comes from the American side. A multiple-time NASA Time Attack champion who switched to a Corvette and kept winning, he arrives with a résumé that says he already knows how to find a limit and hold it there.
