Yuuki Kamakura

Yuuki Kamakura is a Japanese time attack driver who campaigns the Y's Produce four-rotor Mazda RX-7 in Open Class, one of the last cars at the top of the sport still built around a rotary engine. At the 2025 World Time Attack Challenge he put it around Sydney Motorsport Park in 1:31.34, hunting a 1:31 that has beaten nearly everyone who's gone after it. The rest of the paddock left the rotary behind decades ago. He added rotors and went faster.

Kamakura is currently representing Savage at WTAC 2026, back at Eastern Creek with unfinished business and a car that sounds like nothing else on the grid.
